Our customers are busy prepping for spring! Our drop off bin has been full all week with lawn and garden equipment. Check out our website for our new pricing structure starting April 1st or lock in some savings by getting early with our $7 an item price from last year.

Finishing the tables for @three3sbrewing this week. Really excited that they decided not to stain the tops after I stripped them old stain off of them. Get ready to take a drink on them soon!

Managed to use this “Snow Day” to take my kids sledding and even rip down and strip some tables for another local brewery. These tables were so big and heavy it was a relief to have trimmed them down. Now they’ll be brought back inside to be sanded down, stained and finished.

Customer sign we made for another local business. We managed to squeeze this order in right after Christmas so that we could prep for some more business orders that have been coming in. Wishing everyone a happy new year!

With the holidays closing in fast we at Humble Bee Woodworks are here for your personalized gifts for the loved ones in your life. These valet trays made excellent gifts last year for many customers and we wanted to bring them back this holiday season. Our largest table to date! This cherry and walnut bread board end table top was delivered today to another resident in Haddon Heights. Hope it gives its new owners lots of fond memories for years to come.

Finished these up last month for the seniors at ACIT softball team. My Brice is at the top for the first time in her life. She should enjoy it while it lasts. Congrats on graduation and good luck at college at SUNY.

The Vanemans represented at the parade today. Alexis and Oliver both marched with their colorguard team and Xavier carried the banner.

We are at the Collingswood Farmers Market today on Irvin avenue today. It’s a beautiful shaded street connected to Mayfair event happening on the main drag. Come check us out.

The seahorse is back up for the start of the season at Haddon Glen Swim club. The seahorse has some trouble over the season where water was trapped in the plywood by the polyurethane. The water seeped to the bottom of the seahorse trying to escape. So we sanded the polyurethane off, made sure to dry the plywood completely out and then touched up the paint and resealed the entire project. It’s near impossible to buy “dry” exterior plywood anymore so we need to make sure we learn from this experience in the future and allow time for the wood to dry inside of the shop.

Stocking up on some new bookmarks today! We will have several new designs in maple, mahogany, cherry and walnut.

Here are a few steps in making out wooden rings. Our customers are always impressed with all the different things we make and many can’t believe that we make these rings. Everything we sell we make in our home shop. I always feel the need to be creative and make new products and having the lathe allows us to make so many unique and personable products.

It’s was a good day at the shop! Tons of product made not including some rings that my daughter made. All of this will be available tomorrow @hhfarmersmarket for their Mother’s Day market. Let’s make tomorrow a “Good Day” too!

Sometimes we have to remember to slow down and enjoy the little things. Having the day to spend with my daughter in the shop is what I need right now. Just to be reminded why we started our business. This family time together, teaching them how to work with their hands and then letting them loose to be creative. It’s a fun ride to be on.

We are so excited for how out Ambrosia Maple & Walnut chessboard came out! It’s been a long time coming and we are glad it will be able to be displayed this weekend at @hhfarmersmarket.
